Siouxsie Sioux – single card

£4.00

Those of you old enough to be Punk Rockers with remember Siouxsie Sioux and her Banshees. Now Victorian Doll’s heads aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think she it spookily fab and perfectly illustrates the power of strange things, rather like Siouxsie, I found her at Hemswell antique market. Her outfit today suggests she has also been rifling about in the hat box and by the way, is pictured reclining on a sumtuous crocheted fragment of finest green, her collaged eye mask was borrowed from  a short story called Spangled Reverie as featured in the christmas number of Everywoman December 1953.

Description

All  cards are handmade by me up north in my  studios at home in the middle of knowhere. All the products are designed  using sustainable materials, the majority of which are sourced locally and all in the UK. Many of my products are inspired by repurposing or revisiting humble objects from the past and finding a way to celebrate them. These objects are usually waiting for me in local auction houses, car boot sales and the treasure trove that is the charity shop. I print all the  stationery using an ET 7750 printer using eco-friendly printing inks purchased locally and use high quality heavy weight paper from the Scrap Store in Hull that is a by-product of the packaging industry in Hull. I aim to keep my footprint as small as possible and support local artisans and shop keepers. I post from our village post office in Binbrook and use recycled and recyclable packaging and  tape.
